New design - Play/Throw Pillow
I assume I can blam the genes for it, but the facts are that the men in our family have an affection to an unusual animals as kids...
bouji's favorite animal as a toddler was a hedghog...
Have you ever tried to find a hedgehog doll?!?
My mom felt the same way with my older brother, his affection was to owls...
Her solution was to sew him an owl doll herself, not just one but lots of them in all size and color!
After he grow up, Me, as the thierd child inhereted all of those owl toys and pillows...
Recently, I've recalled of those owl toys with a smile... they were ugly, huge, some of them were even scary... but over all the were unique, and made with a lot of love..
I've, than, came to the decision to create my own version for this owl collection my mom did back than. I promise they won't scare anyone!
Look at colin for example... Isn't he the cutest?!?
Made from a vintage cotton fabric, The eyes are hand sewn from felt so there's no sharp or removoable part - makes it idea for babies and toddlers.
He's got extra soft filling, Perfect for the holidays as a unique gift to your beloved!
So soft and comfortable to hug with and Play with!
Colin also think It's a really great ideal to use him as a sleeping pillow in bedtime!
More owl designs are on the way!

New design - nona's Boho Jacket
It's not frequently that we finish a new design with a big smile on our face, but this time we did!
We can't decide precisely what brought us this big smile,
The fab vintage fabric? The super cute design? Or is it the thought of nouna wearing this sweet jacket?!
Anyway, it will be available soon on our Etsy shop on a variety of vintage fabrics and will be sold as an individual

Autumn winds...
Yes, it's true, we live in sunny Israel and can't enjoy a real fall, as much as we can't enjoy a real winter - we just don't have them...
But stil, we like to fantasize about cloudy days, falling leafes and cat and dogs rain...
Although the temperatures out side are just rising and not showing any sign of getting colder, we are starting to release our FALL-WINTER 2010 Apparel COLLECTION.
This collection, as our previous ones will be full with Vintage fabrics with great shapes and colores.
The dominant colores will be brown, green, turquoise and coral and will be complexed with a twin dress jacket set, sweet jumpers and corduroy pants.
On the next few days, our new Apparel collection will be available on our etsy shop!
Check it out!

Home sweet Home!

Well, We were absolutely amazed to find this little houses fabric on mom's closet... When I was young my mom made my bedroom curtains and duvet out of this fab fabric, and now I found it in mint condition and ready for me to create with it...
A true vintage fabric from Joan Kessler for Concord Fabrics we used to create those sweet toddler shorts... perfect for a hot summer day, super comfy thanks to an adjustable elastic that allow you to match them perfectly to the little prince waists...

My insperation - My mom's closet

As a little child there was one magic place at our home...
My mom had a closet that was off limit for me and He contains for me the most preaches treasures ever.
It was an old closet, full of her sewing materials - tones of fabrics and fabrics leftovers, buttons, strings, ribbons and so much more...
She also kept there her unfinished projects, fabric pieces with embroidery on them, dresses and tops parts etc.
Even though it was off limit, or maybe because of it, it was my favorite place at home. I've spend hours digging in the heaps; Playing, searching...pretending to have the most beautiful dresses. touching and feeling the different textures..
As I got older, around 12 yrs, I often took some of the left overs, sewing my self dresses I've seen on TV or magazines - all alone, without any guidance..
When I needed some spending money, I used them to create dolls witch I sold later on randoms fairs.
This secret closet was the world for me, a center of creation and imagination. I've learned that with fabric leftovers dream really can come true and hopes can become realized.
Now days, I have my own secret closet, and I keep on make dreams come true, mine and other moms elsewhere, from the treasures in it.

Insperetion...

The first time I saw this gorgeous geometric fabric, I knew I must have it.
I've always loved those vintage prints with the bold colors and great shapes and when I found him it didn't really matter to me his price, I wanted him and that's it.
So I bought it from a great woman called Shirley, and he set in my fabric closet for a few month, waiting for me to decide what I'm going to do with him... And even though he was there, I couldn't stop looking at him and thinking about him. so when I started to plan my new bedding collection it become very clear to me that it should be about color and shape, two of my favorite themes.
I thought about babies rooms that suffer in the last few years from a lack of color...The faded pastels took control and left the real bold colors away from our babies world...
And I always thought that babies and kids rooms should be an oasis of colors - shapes and imagination. A place that would challenge as well as enrich our kids world...
If you feel the same as me, I know you'll find our new collection perfect for you little one's...

New collection 2009

It coming soon...
After lots of nights without sleeping, hours of planning and sewing ... my new collection is almost done...
I've really tried to get wild with this collection and realise my design sensibility to the extreme. meaning, to be totally free from every other existing babies bedding and to create something completely new.
I used my knowledge in art and craft to create a collection based on colors and shapes - two of the most important elements in any newborns life- to provide an alternative, retro, modern, urban selection of baby's mix 'n match bedding. the 2009 collection will be influenced by the retro feeling all over and will be in a very happy, with tones of bright colors.
I realise that this time my collection wont be everyone's "cup of tea" as my previous collection. but I'm sure and proud of it just as much (if not more).
In the collection I used some true original vintage fabrics along with new retro inspired fabrics which I suit to the most darling Japanese fabrics with the most adorable print witch are so naive, sweet and full of that retro feel that I just adore Hope you'll love it too!
The 2009 summer/ Autumn collection will include crib bumpers, pillows, crib sheets and clothing and should be ready for sell around June 15. than I'll start to release items to my etsy shop.
Don't miss it! May 15 ---bouji & nouna new collection...
'till than, all of the existing stock is on 50% of on the second item!!!!!
