So, after so many sleepless nights and Working around the clock... It's finally here!
bouji & nouna new 2010 collections!
We chose to call it "THE MODERN LIFE" since we were inspired on this one from the modern and clean design that was typical in the mid 20th century.
We are so excited about it! Since it's the first time that we created a commercial collection... Every item is still, as always, made by hand - We believe that babies are special... - Therefore, items are near One Of a kind and quantities are limited.
The collection is full of colors, as all of our products before, and super cool retro fabrics and prints. You'll find some owls having a party, Kids flying some cute kites. You may also like to visit Paris or take a tour on a super stylish modern home...
We also have some stylish dog shadow pillows in a variety of colors and prints.

50's ads, That's our new "Modern Life" collection inspiration...
Theirs nothing more naive and sweet than those ads that reflect past world war 2 need for a better, beautiful world.
We used those elements on our collection, feeling need to make a better world for our babies and children in those Modern life, other than the ones we see around us.
On this matter, We would like to send our Love to all children all over the world. bouji and nouna have lately donated to UNICEF to help the Haiti children, and would keep help children elsewhere.

So, it's been a while that we're not so happy about our banner and avatar, and we felt that this is the time for a change...
It took us a while to do it but we did! all by ourself!
We just love the new look, and the sweet painting is Original ours!

Good morning all! We're having a new Etsy shop and a new upcoming collection

It's been a while since I wrote, and the reason is that yours truly is working like mad on promoting our Xmas sales...So far nothing and it's very frustrating!!! Anyway, I think now is a good time to announce that bouji & nouna are creating a whole new collection that would take our skills to the next level as well as being a more commercial one. Not to worry! It would still be handmade, Would still have the bouji & nouna touch but we let go of all the vintage fabrics (for now) and moving to a new technique of hand printing. This will make the collection even more unique and with freindly prices.
The new collection would have about 7-8 designs all hand printed by me according to my original paintings... The paintings will also be offered for sale as originals or prints. On that matter you can see that we expand our product range... The new collection will include: bumpers, blankets, crib sheets, crib skirt (all of those you'll be able to buy as a set or separated), pillows, toys, wall hanging and of course Apparel.
Since our new collection will be so different from the previous ones it will be upload on our new Etsy shop we have opened for this purpose at: www.boujiandnouna.com

Here comes the sun...

After a few rainy cold days, finally the sun is out and a very hot weekend is ahead of us here in Israel...
Just in time for our new Cuddle Naptime Blankets, and The first release from it - Here comes the sun blanket.
Here comes the sun blanket is made with retro bold flowers fabric and extra soft sunny yellow fleece. You just have to feel this unbelievably soft fabric!
You see, I just found an amazing fabric shop with wonderful retro and vintage fabrics on a town near my village... We got this fabric from it, and still dreaming about the other patterns he's got there...
So... anyway about this one...
Flowers have never looked so chic and cuddly!
Can be used for almost anything a baby might like to do: naptime, tummy time, playtime, strollertime, off to Grandma's, a number of purposes. This will last for years to come.
It's got polifil batting for extra comfort and with Generously size of 37.5" x 45" it will be Perfect for your newborn or toddler!

Childhood Games

Pretending games are an important part in any toddler's life.
Pretending to be a super hero, a brave pilot or a talented dancer... You've all been there and done that, we're sure...
We, in bouji and nouna believe that the kids room should inspire their imagination, and with that thought we've created the " bouji & nouna's decor / play pillows". by 1950's comic books inspired pillows with a shape of boy / girl face.

I assume I can blam the genes for it, but the facts are that the men in our family have an affection to an unusual animals as kids...
bouji's favorite animal as a toddler was a hedghog...
Have you ever tried to find a hedgehog doll?!?
My mom felt the same way with my older brother, his affection was to owls...
Her solution was to sew him an owl doll herself, not just one but lots of them in all size and color!
After he grow up, Me, as the thierd child inhereted all of those owl toys and pillows...
Recently, I've recalled of those owl toys with a smile... they were ugly, huge, some of them were even scary... but over all the were unique, and made with a lot of love..
I've, than, came to the decision to create my own version for this owl collection my mom did back than. I promise they won't scare anyone!
Look at colin for example... Isn't he the cutest?!?
Made from a vintage cotton fabric, The eyes are hand sewn from felt so there's no sharp or removoable part - makes it idea for babies and toddlers.

It's not frequently that we finish a new design with a big smile on our face, but this time we did!
We can't decide precisely what brought us this big smile,
The fab vintage fabric? The super cute design? Or is it the thought of nouna wearing this sweet jacket?!
Anyway, it will be available soon on our Etsy shop on a variety of vintage fabrics and will be sold as an individual piece or with a matching jumper! so much fun!!!

Autumn winds...

Yes, it's true, we live in sunny Israel and can't enjoy a real fall, as much as we can't enjoy a real winter - we just don't have them...
But stil, we like to fantasize about cloudy days, falling leafes and cat and dogs rain...
Although the temperatures out side are just rising and not showing any sign of getting colder, we are starting to release our FALL-WINTER 2010 Apparel COLLECTION.
This collection, as our previous ones will be full with Vintage fabrics with great shapes and colores.
The dominant colores will be brown, green, turquoise and coral and will be complexed with a twin dress jacket set, sweet jumpers and corduroy pants.

Well, We were absolutely amazed to find this little houses fabric on mom's closet... When I was young my mom made my bedroom curtains and duvet out of this fab fabric, and now I found it in mint condition and ready for me to create with it...

A true vintage fabric from Joan Kessler for Concord Fabrics we used to create those sweet toddler shorts... perfect for a hot summer day, super comfy thanks to an adjustable elastic that allow you to match them perfectly to the little prince waists...
