bouji and nouna have a new addiction! We found a Fab  design blog called "Furniture Fashion" That is all about one of our biggest loves, modern interior design. The writer of this blog always finds some super cool unique designs that make us often a bit jealous that we haven't thought about first... If we could we would have bought so many things from the manufactures presented there!
They also have a daily newsletter that send to your mailbox the latest posts they've published. This blog often makes us sing "If I was a rich man..."

Good morning all! We're having a new Etsy shop and a new upcoming collection

It's been a while since I wrote, and the reason is that yours truly is working like mad on promoting our Xmas sales...So far nothing and it's very frustrating!!! Anyway, I think now is a good time to announce that bouji & nouna are creating a whole new collection that would take our skills to the next level as well as being a more commercial one. Not to worry! It would still be handmade, Would still have the bouji & nouna touch but we let go of all the vintage fabrics (for now) and moving to a new technique of hand printing. This will make the collection even more unique and with freindly prices.
The new collection would have about 7-8 designs all hand printed by me according to my original paintings... The paintings will also be offered for sale as originals or prints. On that matter you can see that we expand our product range... The new collection will include: bumpers, blankets, crib sheets, crib skirt (all of those you'll be able to buy as a set or separated), pillows, toys, wall hanging and of course Apparel.

The Mamma loved bouji & nouna!

On the last few days we're a bit down since we didn't had anyhow sales lately.
Running a business on your own, and all alone can be extremely difficult and frustrating...
And being married to an hi-tec husband who's never home and two adorable kids to take care of doesn't make it any easier...
That's why we were extremely Happy to read some good review about us and our products...
We sent mama Amy our super cute "Traffic jam" crib bumper set, and she just wrote a post about it on mammalicious finds, full of compliments! Such fun!

New design - nona's Boho Jacket

It's not frequently that we finish a new design with a big smile on our face, but this time we did!
We can't decide precisely what brought us this big smile,
The fab vintage fabric? The super cute design? Or is it the thought of nouna wearing this sweet jacket?!
Anyway, it will be available soon on our Etsy shop on a variety of vintage fabrics and will be sold as an individual piece or with a matching jumper! so much fun!!!

Autumn winds...

Yes, it's true, we live in sunny Israel and can't enjoy a real fall, as much as we can't enjoy a real winter - we just don't have them...
But stil, we like to fantasize about cloudy days, falling leafes and cat and dogs rain...
Although the temperatures out side are just rising and not showing any sign of getting colder, we are starting to release our FALL-WINTER 2010 Apparel COLLECTION.
This collection, as our previous ones will be full with Vintage fabrics with great shapes and colores.
The dominant colores will be brown, green, turquoise and coral and will be complexed with a twin dress jacket set, sweet jumpers and corduroy pants.
On the next few days, our new Apparel collection will be available on our etsy shop!

My insperation - My mom's closet

As a little child there was one magic place at our home...

My mom had a closet that was off limit for me and He contains for me the most preaches treasures ever.

It was an old closet, full of her sewing materials - tones of fabrics and fabrics leftovers, buttons, strings, ribbons and so much more...

She also kept there her unfinished projects, fabric pieces with embroidery on them, dresses and tops parts etc.

Even though it was off limit, or maybe because of it, it was my favorite place at home. I've spend hours digging in the heaps; Playing, searching...pretending to have the most beautiful dresses. touching and feeling the different textures..

As I got older, around 12 yrs, I often took some of the left overs, sewing my self dresses I've seen on TV or magazines - all alone, without any guidance..

When I needed some spending money, I used them to create dolls witch I sold later on randoms fairs.

This secret closet was the world for me, a center of creation and imagination. I've learned that with fabric leftovers dream really can come true and hopes can become realized.

Now days, I have my own secret closet, and I keep on make dreams come true, mine and other moms elsewhere, from the treasures in it.
