My insperation - My mom's closet

As a little child there was one magic place at our home...

My mom had a closet that was off limit for me and He contains for me the most preaches treasures ever.

It was an old closet, full of her sewing materials - tones of fabrics and fabrics leftovers, buttons, strings, ribbons and so much more...

She also kept there her unfinished projects, fabric pieces with embroidery on them, dresses and tops parts etc.

Even though it was off limit, or maybe because of it, it was my favorite place at home. I've spend hours digging in the heaps; Playing, searching...pretending to have the most beautiful dresses. touching and feeling the different textures..

As I got older, around 12 yrs, I often took some of the left overs, sewing my self dresses I've seen on TV or magazines - all alone, without any guidance..

When I needed some spending money, I used them to create dolls witch I sold later on randoms fairs.

This secret closet was the world for me, a center of creation and imagination. I've learned that with fabric leftovers dream really can come true and hopes can become realized.

Now days, I have my own secret closet, and I keep on make dreams come true, mine and other moms elsewhere, from the treasures in it.

A decorative pillow from our new collection, available now

The first time I saw this gorgeous geometric fabric, I knew I must have it.
I've always loved those vintage prints with the bold colors and great shapes and when I found him it didn't really matter to me his price, I wanted him and that's it.
So I bought it from a great woman called Shirley, and he set in my fabric closet for a few month, waiting for me to decide what I'm going to do with him... And even though he was there, I couldn't stop looking at him and thinking about him. so when I started to plan my new bedding collection it become very clear to me that it should be about color and shape, two of my favorite themes.
I thought about babies rooms that suffer in the last few years from a lack of color...The faded pastels took control and left the real bold colors away from our babies world...
And I always thought that babies and kids rooms should be an oasis of colors - shapes and imagination. A place that would challenge as well as enrich our kids world...

Happy Purim All!

As you probably know (or not), next week take place the Jewish holiday "Purim".

On this holiday all the kids(mostly, even though everybody supposed to) wearing costumes...

My boy is so existed, his planed his costume for six months...
He's going to be Ben 10 and unlike lest year that we couldn't find a Ben 10 costume and I, his mother made him one, this year he chose to get a costume already made...

so I had the time to make a costume for my baby girl...
